GET TO KNOW THE CHEF

Travis Woodcock

Since childhood, Chef Travis passion to be the best has led him to the top of every challenge before him.  The kitchen is no exception.  With his sense of style and flare for decadence, his catering adds a classy touch, to your most memorable party or event.

From the shopping; Chef Travis prepares everything from scratch, using only the freshest ingredients available, to the clean up; you won’t have to worry about a thing.

Before he was Chef Travis Woodcock, Travis was known around Lake Tahoe as a competitive Freestyle skier who competed successfully in many events including the Junior Olympics and Junior Nationals.  In 1998 he took first place at the Junior Nationals in Aerials.  Travis soon became known as “Showtime” for his smooth flips and dizzying spins.  Carrying his athletic focus to the kitchen, Travis puts on a show with his strong command of gourmet culinary techniques, efficiency, and easygoing sense of humor.

Education:

In 2005, Chef Travis decided to take his love of cooking to the next level.  He attended The Western Culinary Institute located in Portland, Oregon where he received his Associates of Occupational Studies Degree in Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Arts.  This program integrates the time-honored traditions of Le Cordon Bleu with contemporary cooking techniques and strong kitchen-management skills.  Upon completion from the program, in May 2007, Chef Travis completed an externship with respected Chef Chris Mitchum at the Santa Rosa Grill, at the Hyatt Grand Champion, in Indian Wells, CA.

"Great restaurants are known for their chefs, and most great chefs are born out of their culinary education."
